How To Know When Someone Scams

Scamming is very popular among many platforms, such as Roblox, YouTube videos, and just all over online. But, what is scamming? It's when someone tries to trick you into doing something. In a game that some of my friends play called "Adopt Me," you can collect pets and trade them as well. Sometimes, people get jealous and want your pets, but they don't have anything to offer for it, so they might try scamming you. They could say, "Let's trust trade" or "I'll send you some REAL GOLD if you give me your pet!" Both of these are total scams. Trust trading is when you give someone your pet for free and they get to use it for a couple of seconds and they give it right back afterward. But, lots of people will get the pets, pretend to play with the pet, then leave the game. That's stealing. Another thing is the person trying to send you stuff out of the game. If they say something about sending you real gold, money, etc., DON'T TRUST THEM! They don't know where you live, or what state you live in. And make sure to not tell them. This could happen in real life as well. They could say, "Giving a magical lollipop that grants all your wishes! Only $10!" But really, it's a scam. Lots of kids could believe this, and buy it, but then they realize it's fake. People are getting smarter and trying to scam more. Don't trust those kinds of people. Only if you know that something is real, don't trust it. Such as if you see an ad about winning a 1 million dollar car, just by buying a $10 sandwich, it probably has a large percentage of being fake. Have you ever gotten scammed before? If so, what did you do in that situation? Thanks for reading today. Keep being kind to one another!
